Started to extend garment life
Stitch Savvy began with a simple idea: good garments should not be discarded when they can be altered, restyled, or remade into something useful.
Stitch Savvy focuses on tailoring, clothing alterations, and garment remodelling for pieces worth keeping in circulation.

We work with garments that need a new fit, a fresh shape, or a practical redesign. Every project begins with an assessment of the fabric, construction, and condition so the concept stays realistic from the start.
Our approach is especially suited to vintage pieces, sentimental garments, and clothing that deserves to be worn again rather than replaced. We review customer-supplied materials too, and we only move forward once the concept has been approved.
We combine alteration work with remodelling and upcycling, so each piece can be judged on what it can realistically become.

From the first enquiry to the final collection, each stage is handled with clear communication, practical planning, and careful fitting checks.
The result is work that respects the original garment while making room for a better fit, a new purpose, or a more wearable design.

Every project is guided by the same principles: assess first, approve the concept, then carry out the work with care.
We begin with a garment and material review before discussing the redesign. That helps set realistic expectations for shape, structure, and the materials that can be reused.
Original fabric is used where it makes sense, and limitations are explained before approval. If extra materials are needed, they are quoted separately.
Fit is checked with care, but the final result always depends on the garment's construction and available seam allowance. Small finishing adjustments are handled at collection when needed.
We aim to give clothing a longer useful life through remodelling and upcycling, especially for pieces with personal value or strong fabric worth preserving.
